Administrative / Biographical History

William Wynne Sparrow's estate comprised property at Bodychen and Beaumaris in Anglesey. He was the great grandson of John Sparrow who married the Bodychen heiress in 1694. The Beaumaris property came to the family through the marriage of W.W.S.' father with Ann, the daughter of Ambrose Lewis, a Beaumaris attorney.

The Bodowen estate was the property of Lord Dinorben. The Bulkeley family of Beaumaris owned the Baron Hill estate; Drudwy Mill was the property of the Sparrows of Red Hill.
