Scope and Content

Two drawings of equal size side by side. Annotations on the back read "Patient's name 11.8.54 death after ventric Fig" and "Johnson & Yates Clinico-pathological aspects of pressure changes at the tentorium fig.2".

This image features as figure 2 in the publication R.T. Johnson & P.O. Yates, 'Clinico-pathological aspects of pressure changes at the tentorium', Acta Radiologica, 1956 (46) pp.242-9, in which it is described as follows: "Hydrocephalus secondary to astrocytoma of 3rd ventricle with herniation of left lateral ventricle through the incisura tentorii. a)[left] under the surface of the occipital lobes showing a cystlike hernia lying inside cisterna venae gali magna. b)[right] Upper surface of the cerebellum deeply hollowed by hernia which has compressed the dorsal mid brain".
