Scope and Content

Two drawings side by side, one of the tumour revealed at operation and a lateral view of the spine showing the position of the tumour. Annotations on the back read " Fig 16 Mr Tutton Radiol. 10/50, dotted lines are not clear enough, 56 02 08 06" and "Patient's surname 19.9.50 Manchester University neurofibroma".

This drawing features as fig.16 in the publication H. Davies, R.G. Reid, and G.K. Tutton, 'Discussion on myelography', Proceedings of the Royal Society of Medicine, 1951, 44(10), pp.881-93. The caption in the article offers the following description "Operation sketch of tumour. Note the swelling of the cord above the site of the tumour, which lies completely anterior to the cord and is indicated by the dotted lines".
