Scope and Content

A series of six ross drawings showing a chromophobe intrasellar adenoma at post mortem with temporal extension, displacement of the chiasma, and herniation of the left frontal lobe. Annotations on the back read "Mrs patient's surname 8.46. Chromophobe adenoma. Manchester University".

This drawing features in the publication J. Perry, 'Forty years of medical art a biography of Dorothy Davison', Medical and Biological Illustration, 1971, 21(1), pp.27-32, in which it is described as follows: "Dissection of an intra-sellar adenoma to show its ramifications and the extent of the damage caused by the pressure on the brain and the distortion of the nerves".
