Scope and Content

Medial view of the brain and brainstem at post mortem showing to clear areas of tumour growth. Annotations on the back read "Medulloblastoma patient's name, Jefferson M.R.I" and "53030221, 28 Nov 37 Medullo".

Despite the fact that the date is given on the back as Nov 1937 the patient did not die until 1938 and it is quite likely that this drawing dates from a later period.

Patient's name

In the top right corner.

There are two labels on the drawing which both read 'tumour', one of which points to a lesion in the cerebellum and the second points to an area just below the hypothalamus.
