Scope and Content

There are two main pencil drawings, a ventral view and a sagittal view of the pituitary region, with a number of smaller sketches around the outside to show specific details. Annotations on the back read "56.10.09.11 Mr Jefferson MRI patient's name Rathke's pouch 2.8.38". There is also a quite extensive patient history and description of symptoms written on the back.

Related Material

This drawing relates to a patient of Geoffrey Jefferson whose patient notes are also held by UoM Library. Unfortunately the notes relating to this particular individual do not survive and instead there is a note to indicate that they were borrowed by Jefferson in the 1940s, see JCN/13/160.

Rough sketches created in the process of making this drawing can be found in the collection of Davison's working sketches, see DDS/3/14.
