Colour painting of pathological specimen of giant cell tumour of the right humerus taken from a male patient. Annotations on the back read "Malignant G.C.T. R humerus patient's name 41 21.5.46". There is also a rough outline pencil sketch in the bottom left corner.

Initialled by the artist in the bottom right corner of the painting.

UoM Library also hold five lantern slides relating to this patient which can be found in the Papers of Sir Harry Platt, PLA/1/6/8. One is a copy of this painting, three are patient x-rays, and the final one is histological.
