Scope and Content

Two colour paintings of a left sided bone flap turned down over fracture line to reveal haematoma with ink diagram showing the position of the haematoma, fracture, and operative flap on the patient's skull. Annotations on the back read "Patient's name 28.4.49 closed head injury, subdural haemtaoma" and "patient's name 28/4/49 left extradural haematoma, Manchester University, 3/4 colour L/S 54011219".

Closed head injury. Extra-dural haematoma.

Typed, bottom centre.
