Dear Miss Faithfull, I was very much obliged to you for your letter giving an account of your stay at Strathcorm with Blanche. It is on the whole very good but it strengthens the opinion I have for some time entertained that all the ____ matters of business which she will go through at Whittingham worry her too much and that she would be better ___where she; but where she could go is the difficulty. I do not think that London except for seeing mother's physician is much more desirable. On the whole the plan of wintering at Strathcorm at present seems the best though I fear you must find your stay there very uncomfortable and rather lonely. I do not know whether Blanche is aware that you have been good enough to write to me. If she is pray give my best love to her. We are all going on here much as usual. You can mention to Blanche that the boys came [here?] for a couple of days while the Charles Balfours were here. They are all looking extremely well and were in high spirits.
