Scope and Content

Encloses 2/ for two annual subscriptions to 'Record'. Mentions an old friend Mrs Gwynne-Hughes who was interested by Suffrage meeting at Portsmouth. Asks for John Stuart Mills 'Subjection of Women' and some of Mrs Fawcett's pamphlets to be sent to her; both she and her daughter who will inherit the estate could probably be won over. Husband a strong liberal and wife already does much useful work and 'is a very winning person - and rather a little personality in her county'.
