Scope and Content

Copy of letter - Miss Palliser away for a long weekend as she is overtired. In her absence, worried about House of Commons Conference on 14 Feb 14. 'Not a particularly weighty collection' attending and would appreciate Mrs Fawcett as leader. Worried also that MPs present will be new members without experience; would it be wise to ask Mr Courtney, as 'an old parliamentary hand' to be there. Many country societies have suggested that a deputation should be sent to Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman; could MPs be asked to form this deputations? Problem of whether passing of Women's Suffrage Bill would necessitate immediate dissolution.
