She recommend Miss Lilian Henderson who because Sir Arthur Bignold would not commit himself to women's suffrage went against her own political views and voted for Mr. Car-Gomme. His women at Rotherhithe refused to work for him unless he promised to support the suffrage cause and Sir Arthur Bignold had the same experience in Orkney.
