Scope and Content

In most Australian colonies all adult men and women are enfranchised and consequently no separate register is kept. Has heard from Mrs. Pember-Reeves, wife of Agent General for New Zealand that in first election after enfranchisement higher proportion of women voted than men, and that in consequence mire men than usual voted in the next election. Has that women voted well in Australia but no precise figures available. Pamphlet enclosed. Miss Sterling answered on behalf of Miss Palliser, who was away.
