Circular letter from Miss Phillips to local secretaries

Asks for statement of number of meetings in year and number of members to be included in Annual Report. Will be sending proposed amendments to Rules to be considered and sent in as resolutions by local committees. Suggest societies should organise series of deputations of three or four well known people to interview local MPs of Commons and press suffrage case. Better if deputations should be of same party as MP and preferably have worked for him. Miss Abadam wishes her name to be removed from Speakers' List; it was put there without her consent. Might speak occasionally but arrangements must be made individually.
