Letter from RD to his brother Philip, largely relating to Peter [Philip's son, who was also an actor]. He advises Peter against trying to make an acting career in the UK, because except in a Canadian Company or in a Canadian accented part he would be resented rather than welcomed. He also refers to the terrible illness he has suffered because of the weather, and asks Philip whether the television version of The cure for love was in Lancashire dialect or dubbed; he asserts that '[i]t was not meant for T.V.'
