Letter from RD to his brother John, written on the same sheet as an earlier incomplete letter dated 13 November 1954. He reports that he has written to their mother, after first asking Fergusson (her doctor) to break the news of RD's illness and recovery to her. RD admits to John that the winter was terrible for him.
