Letter from RD to his mother, relating to: his new home at The Grove, Highgate Village; his chest problems, which have forced him to cut one of his Coronation broadcasts; the success of the main broadcast; his meeting with Australian prime minister [Robert Gordon] Menzies, who refused to leave Broadcasting House without greeting Mr Chips; his preparation for filming [as Willie Mossop in a film version of Brighouse's Hobson's choice, directed by David Lean]; and a recording of Murder in the cathedral he has made for long-playing record.
