Letter from RD to his parents, relating to: his inability to act in the film South Riding for health reasons; his slowly increasing strength; the success of Knight without armour, which has prompted MGM, Paramount and Reliance to offer RD sums of up to a million dollars per picture; and his disappointment with the film, which he feels gave him no real acting opportunities.
