Scope and Content

Letters concern the request for reproduction of the Paul Nash painting 'Landscape of the Moons Last Phase' in the form of a postcard, and the subsequent proofing of the colour block (the first proofs sent to Margaret met with her disapproval, see TGA 7050/3796 and 3799). Also discussed, the payment of copyright fees to Margaret in the form of postcards, and previous reproduction of the Nash painting 'Sandling Park' at the Manchester City Art Gallery (TGA 7050/3793). Includes two letters from Margaret to Hugh Scrutton, Director, Walker Gallery, and one reply from Hugh, regarding Margaret's offer of the Nash painting 'Northern Adventure', and water-colours 'Sudden Storm' and 'Summer Green' for purchase (TGA 7050/3801-03).
