Scope and Content

The correspondence is mainly with David Bland regarding the inclusion of Paul Nash essays, illustrations and the design of the cover by John Nash (TGA 7050/2260-61, 2264, 2267, 2276); Maureen Alsop and Mary Grenside concerning galleys and proof reading; and Richard de la Mare, regarding publication and reviews (TGA 7050/2290, 2292, 2283-4, 2286). Letters from de la Mare also refer to a publication by M.Rothenstein including some of the same Paul Nash essays (TGA 7050/2253) and future projects about Paul Nash (TGA 7050/2286, 2288, 2290 and 2295). Together with eight letters between Margaret Nash and Peter du Sautoy concerning American publishing rights and the payment of royalties and costs (TGA 7050/2278-80, 2285, 2287, 2292), and two letters to and from L.R. Simmons concerning royalties (TGA 7050/2285, 2291).
