Scope and Content

Letters concern the sale of four Nash engravings illustrating 'The Ring' to the Rev. Walter Davies, and the error of including two illustrations of 'Die Walkure', but leaving out the illustration 'Das Rhingold'. Also Rex contributing his "complete set of Paul's books, prints, catalogues and letters etc" to the Victoria & Albert Museum and his wish to replace his missing copies of the 1919 Richard Aldington 'Images of War', the Faber and Gwyer limited edition 'Nativity' by Siegfried Sassoon, and the Paul Nash woodcut 'Self Portrait, 1922' to complete the collection. Brief mention of Rex sending a collection of Nash watercolours to an "important Dutch exhibition in Holland" (TGA 7050/ 3187-8).
