Scope and Content

Revd. David McConnell, 65 Sankey Street, Warrington, to Dr. Thomas, stating that after leaving him he saw the Bishop but he would not bleed. He saw Turner in Manchester. He encloses the Revd. J. B. Johnstone's letter after examining the evidences of his case. He will see what his considered opinion was, and please reurn it. If Dr. Thomas were to open a subscription for "the relief of a brother practitioner from embarrssed circumstances" and head it with a guinea, he thinks the Bishop would do something himself. This would assist him while other means were being used to raise the money for legal proceedings. He asks him to help him with the subscription, to date it at his own house and send it to him when he will read it to the Bishop.
