A. Stokes, to [Dr. Thomas] telling of his anticipation of the coming of a second edition of his "Additions" he suggests a notice of Hypericum Perforatum quoted in the 20th edition of Smiths Compendium as one of the 11 varieties of N.O. Hypericineae noting a proving of it is recorded in the Homoeopathic Times of 1853 January 1 and 8 by himself and his eldest sister. Although Dr. Thomas stated that the medicine so called in Hempels is not the same the peculiar symptons produced by it are corroborated by his experiments.
