Scope and Content

To his mother, says never sure his mail will get through; not really sure what things are like in England, and has heard of the Belgian surrender. Says they are living off tinned food, supplemented by fresh eggs and fish. Hopes his mother has not got into a "fatalistic" state of mind about the war.
