Original lease dated 12 September 1851, by Lord Dinorben to Owen Jones, for a term of 52 years. Accompanying this assignment is the original lease and a counterpart of the same, which contain the information that the Dinorben Arms was once known as Ty Mawr. Further documents record the re-assignment of the aforesaid premises by Rochfort Connor to Edward Hughes of Holyhead, banker (13 June 1855), and the further assignment by Rochford Connor and his mortgagee to the Hon. Miss Gwen Gertrude Hughes of Llysdulas (3 June 1871). By then Connor is described as "surveying general examiner in the Inland Revenue" and resident in London. The Hon. Miss Hughes was the daughter of the first Lord Dinorben by his second marriage; about three months after the date of this assignment she herself was married to Sir Arundell Neave of Dagnam Park in Essex. Attached to this final assignment is a policy of insurance on the Dinorben Arms contracted with the Phoenix Assurance Co. (5 October 1855).
