The messuages of Ty Croes and Bodenog, once the property of John Hughes of Beaumaris and afterwards of his daughters Abigail (married to David Williams of Cwt y Dwndwr) and Ellen (married to William Roberts, yeoman of Llanfaethlu) became badly encumbered with the debt, even to the extent of £533. By operation of the fine aforesaid, and the payment of the necessary monies by John Ellis of Tai Croesion (the genealogist and antiquary) and the Rev. William Griffith of Gwaenfynydd, Bodenog is vested in Ellis, Ty Croes in the Rev. Griffith. For the conveyance of Ty Croes to William Lewis of Llysdulas some 15 months later, see docts. 33-36.
