Scope and Content

(i.) pp. 2-4 are blank and pp. 6-15 only fragments are left; pp. 16-124 are the work of 'I.Royle,' giving the details of fields and acreage; pp. 25-37 are blank.

And then on p. 38 the second Map (as described in the 'title'); p.40 contains the names of tenants, etc. of the town of Conwy. The survey takes up pp. 40-75, with inset maps between 53-54; pp. 55-56 are blank; inset plan between pp. 57-58, and elaborate "references" at the end.

Administrative / Biographical History

Owen Holland of Plas Isa, Conwy, 1720-1795 (J.E. Griffith Pedigrees, 341); the Merioneth lands must have descended to him from his grandfather Holland Williams who had married Jane, daughter of Edward Edwards of Llwyndu by Llanaber; it must be remembered also that his father had married one of the 'Anwyls' of Park by Llanfrothen.
