Her father was Joshua Knight of Caernarvon who had married Jane, daughter of Hugh Owen of Gilfach by Penmorfa (there is an echo of this connection in the fourth dr. of the Rev. Richard Prichard of Dinam being called Mary Knight P.) A brother in law of the Rev. L. Davies was Thomas Knight, physician of Caernarvon; this fragment introduces yet a new spelling to the surname of his first wife - Pedigrees have Hearn (213), the Cynhaiarn Papers (473-4) have Hiorne, here it is Heron.
