Anne and Mary were daughters of the late Lewis Davies, rector of Llandyfrydog. Mary Davies, was in a few months to become Higgon; in fact, at the foot of the document is a statement by Anne Owen (17 April 1764) that "my brother John Higgon" has cleared up all money difficulties arising out of the legacy of 1761.
Declaration and acknowledgment by Anne Owen, widow [of Owen Owen of Rhos-y-meirch, brother of the elder Nicholas Owen, rector of Llandyfrydog] to her sister Mary Davies of having received certain sums under her mother's legacy.
