Correspondence with Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930), explorer, scientist, statesman and humanitarian, relating to refusal of a request from the Manchester Guardian that Nansen write articles for publication in the paper. Also included is a request by Nansen for support from the Manchester Guardian for the Imperial War Relief Fund appeal for Greek and Armenian refugees, with reference to a meeting between Scott and Nansen, and thanks for an article in the paper on an address given at a meeting by Nansen. There is also reference to the assistance and impact of Scott's previous support for the appeal for aid during the Russian famine.
