Correspondence with William Hill, journalist, relating to discussion of the Liberal party, and Hill's views on the need for the reunion of the party, with reference to [David] Lloyd George, politician and [Herbert Henry] Asquith, politician, of the independent and coalitionist Liberal party members, the Liberal caucus and to the 1922 general election.

Also included is a request by Hill for Scott's co-operation in the Liberal unity movement, which is granted, with discussion of the support Scott can provide in the Manchester Guardian. There is discussion of leader articles in the Manchester Guardian on the Liberal party, and of a letter sent by Hill to [Edward] Grey, viscount and politician, of support for Lloyd George.
