Devises (a) m's in t's Bichtan, Mostin, Merton, Trelan, Tre Edenowen, and Whitford Garn [p. Whitford] co. Flint, (b) the rectories and parsonages of Cutcombe and Luxborow, Somerset, (c) a m. in p. Kingston, Surrey, (former tenant named) to Peeter Griffith of Cayrwis, Piers Lloid of Dooning, John Edwards of Disserth, Piers Conway of Ruthland, Roger Parrie of Whitford and John Pennant of Hollywell as trustees, properties (b) and (c) to be sold to discharge his debts, property (a) to be held by them until they receive sufficient money out of the rents and profits issuing therefrom and the coalmine therein to discharge his debts, and afterwards to the heirs of his body with remainders to his brothers, David Pennant, Hugh Pennant, Roger Pennant, to his sisters Grace Pennant and Margaret Pennant. The trustees are to forebear selling properties (b) and (c) for 1 yr after his decease if David Pennant will pay within one year after his decease so much of his debt as the price or value of properties (b) and (c) shall extend and amount after the rate of £20 purchase. After such payment the trustees are to convey properties (b) and (c) to David Pennant. In an addition to the will (dated 29 July 1626) the testator makes Edward Pennant of Bagillt, gent., trustee of his will instead of those previously named. Episcopal Seal, damaged.
