The jury say that John Pennant was seized on 12 Nov. 1637 at Tre Edenowen (a) in the right of his wife, Jane, of an old capital m., a cottage, 6 a. of land, 2 a. of meadow, 6 a. of pasture in t. Tre Edenowen [p. Whitford], co. Flint; (b) of 8 a. of land in t. Tre Edenowen: (c) 1 m., 4 a. of land, 2 a. of pasture, 2 a. of wood in t. Whitforde Garne, 1 cottage, 2 a. of pasture, in Whitford and Trelan, (d) of 4 a. of land, 4 a. of pasture in t. Merton Isglan; (e) of 1 m., 6 a. of land, 4 a. of pasture in t. Trelewlyn; (f) of a close called Y Glol Vawr, containing 20 a. of land and 60 a. of pasture in t. Moston [p. Whitford]; that properties (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) were held of the King in common socage, their value yearly being respectively 13s. 4d., 6s. 8d., 3s. 4d., 3s. 4d., 3s. 4d., and the annual rent of (a) being 11d., of (c) 8d., of (e) 4d., that (f) is held of the king in capite by the 500th part of a knight fee valued at 20s.; that John Pennant and Jane had legitimate progeny, Hugh Pennant, their first son, and Robert Pennant their second son; that Hugh Pennant, their heir, was aged 65 years old on the day of the inquisition.
