Mr & Mrs Nobody, 1986

Based on the Edwardian-era George and Wheedon Grossmith novel 'Diary of a Nobody', this production starred real-life married couple Michael Williams and Judi Dench as the Pooters and Penny Ryder as Sarah, their housemaid. The series includes production papers including production notes, expense accounts, correspondence, production schedules, press cuttings, publicity material and scripts. There are cast photographs (used by Julia as costume reference images), reference images and research material as well as costume designs and set and scenery designs and notes on costumes and wigs. There are also correspondence and memos relating to costumes and costume sourcing, notes on set construction and scenery painting, notes on props, samples of wallpaper and fabric, research materials, sketches and plans of sets and scenery, floor plans and elevation drawings a swell as production photographs.
