Scope and Content

In 1977, Julia Trevelyan Oman was commissioned by Madame Tussaud's to oversee renovations to their new room of historical tableaux. Oman designed several tableaux including the accession of Queen Victoria, the Bronte sisters, Charles Edward Stewart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) and Flora MacDonald. The file contains correspondence, plans and designs, a copy of the guidebook and administration papers including schedules, accounts and details of petty cash.
