Scope and Content

Bound screenplays and play texts, for both stage and film projects. The scripts are unmarked and were presumably offered to Frankie Howerd, however it appears that most were declined. Includes:
● ‘Chu Chem, 'A zen-Buddhist-Hebrew-musical comedy'’ by Ted Allan;
● ‘The Happy Apple’ by Jack Pulman – play text;
● ‘Whodunnit’ by Anthony Schaffer - photocopied play text;
● ‘Money in the Bank’ by Curth Flatow, - play text, with covering letter to Frankie Howerd from the writer’s agent Betty Judkins (4 November 1969) offering the play;
● ‘The Loving Eye’ by William Samson – screenplay;
● ‘Lord Kitchener's Little Drummer Boys’ by Peter Yeldham – screenplay;
● ‘Oliver!’ - play text by Lionel Bart (photocopied);
● ‘The Secret Keepers’ by David Hebdon and Kenneth Hume - pilot screenplay in master scenes;
● ‘The Owl on the Battlements’ by Beverley Cross - a comedy ghost story for children in two acts.
