Includes:
- annotated rehearsal script, two unmarked rehearsal scripts and one camera script for the television movie ‘Frankie Howerd’s Tittertime’ by Barry Cryer, Galton & Simpson (Thames Television, 1975);
- photocopied rehearsal script for ‘Howerd’s History of England’ [Comedy Playhouse] by Barry Took and Michael Mills (BBC TV, 1974);
- rehearsal script and BBC compliments script for ‘Have You Read This Notice’ by Galton & Simpson (BBC TV, 1963);
- unmarked camera script for ‘Six-Five Special’ (BBC TV, 1958);
- annotated rehearsal script for one of the two episodes of [Frankie Howerd In…] ‘Shakespeare without Tears’ by Reuben Ship (TV, 1959);
- scripts for two episodes of ‘Holiday Music Hall’, one of which is annotated by cast member David Kossoff (BBC Radio, 1961-1962);
- unmarked text for the play ‘Euridice’ by Jean Anhuilh;
- undated heavily annotated LP script for ‘Side One – Side Two’ by David Knobbs and David McKellar (BBC Records, c.1976). The script was based on the Frankie Howerd radio shows and also featured Ray Fell and Dilys Laye;
- ‘Up Baghdad’ [‘Whoops Baghdad’] by Sid Colin, David McKellar and David Nobbs: one unmarked rehearsal script, photocopied rehearsal script, three copies of the series ‘bible’ and a small quantity of related material (mostly suggestions for other series on the ‘Up…theme) (BBC One, 1972);
- annotated rehearsal script for ‘Arabian Nightmare’ by Reuben Ship (1959);
- heavily annotated final shooting script for the short film ‘We All Eat, Don’t We?’ by Greenpark Productions for the National Farmers’ Union (1945). The signature on the title page is for Stanley Dale, who was briefly Howerd’s manager;
- script for and episode of ‘Starlight Hour’ by Frank Muir, Dennis Norden and Sid Colin (BBC Radio, 1948), with profile of Frankie Howerd;
- three page annotated monologue for an episode of ‘Variety Fanfare’ (BBC Radio, 1949); and
- photocopied play text for the stage play ‘Volpone’, adapted by Rick Morison, and which was the basis for ‘The Fly and the Fox’.
