Scope and Content

Bound screenplays and play texts, for both stage and film projects. The scripts are unmarked and were presumably offered to Frankie Howerd, however it appears that most were declined. Includes:
● ‘Nothing Doing Tonight’, a musical by Dudley Stevens and Stuart Mitchell - photocopied play text (1977);
● ‘Mandrake’ by Anthony Bowles and Mike Alfreds - photocopied play text;
● ‘Phibes Rises Again’ - photocopied screenplay by Bob Fuest and Bob Blees (pencilled date of 3 December 1971 to title page);
● ‘I Had a Ball’ - musical by Jerome Chodorov, Jack Lawrence and Stan Freeman;
● ‘With Sound Effects’ by Reginald Long – screenplay;
● ‘The Rock and Roll Ghost’ by Brian O'Sylvern – play text;
● ‘Nicholas Nickleby’ by Ned Sherrin and Caryl Brahms, with a handwritten postcard to Frankie Howerd asking him to look at the text;
● ‘Pirates of Penzance’ – playtext (21 April 1981);
● ‘Mother Goose’, as told by Emile Littler and Hastings Mann - photocopied typed play text (December 1957).
