Sketches of characters and characters in settings in graphite, watercolour and ink on 15 sheets of papers, and one on cartridge paper mounted on a sheet of paper, inscribed in graphite with ms notes on colours and details. The watercolour sketch on cartridge paper mounted on a sheet of paper seems to be Hockley's 'finished' sketch, the pinholes in the top corners indicating that it had been pinned up, the lower part of the sheet features ink notes on the setting.
