Tract on medicine in two books. Book I is numbered [2], 1-758 with 636 and 713 lacking; Book II is numbered [2], 1-212 with 63, 64, 165, 166, 179, 180 lacking, pp. 197-212 wrongly bound after p. 164 and 8 unnumbered pages (6 blank) inserted after p. 40. Book I describes human illnesses and their cures. It contains an ink drawing of the signs of the zodiac to be associated with the various parts of the body on p. 6 and astrological tables on pp. 9, 11, 12, 230, 231, 236, 238. There are notes in a different hand on pp. 684-699. Book II describes minerals, animals and vegetables. It has a drawing in ink of some apparatus on p. 83. There are notes in a different hand on p. 28 and p. 41. Several lines on both title pages have been inked over and are only partly legible. The title page to Book I begins: In nome di Dio e della Santissima Vergine Maria e di St Gioseffe et St Francesco [one line illegible] raccolta et prattica di Fra Cipriano di Bologna [two words illegible]. A second hand has added: Adesso di Fra Nicolo da [two words illegible] 1634... The title page to Book II has had the name of Fra Cipriano di Bologna inked over and that of Fra Nicolo da [?] superscribed and also inked over. The date 1635 also appears, in the same hand that made the additions to the title page of Book I.
