Two architectural title pages in ink and watercolours, 68 drawings of alchemical emblems in ink and watercolours, and a number of line drawings throughout the work. The dedication to Sir Henry Berkley, Knight and Baronet, is by Robert Lane, who writes: 'I most humbly present vnto you... my laboure herein.' This is a translation of Raimundi Lulii De secretis naturae siue Quinta essentia libri duo. His accesserunt, Alberti Magni De mineralibus et rebus metallicis libri quinque, which was published at Strassburg in 1541. Inscribed on last leaf: To the Right honorable Lord George Berklet barond of berkly and berklit casell. Contemporary centre-and-corner binding in black morocco with Berkeley arms on covers
