Letter from W.R. Paterson to Venn Paterson. 8 Boulevard Crouët, Grasse (A.-M.), 14 Nov. 1939.
Transcribes letter from War Office regretting he is ineligible for service owing to age. Has not seen Murray's review of 'Passions'. No inquiry into loss of Royal Oak. Does not doubt final British victory. Two hotels in Grasse converted to hospitals.
