    • 1 item 281 ff Vellum. 281 folios, plus 2 older folios bound at the end of the volume (vellum, erkatagir writing in 2 columns, cut from the Book of Matthew 9:8-18 and 10:12-25, dating to not later than the 12th century). 23 x 18 cm (written surface 18 x 11.5 cm). Text in one column of 39 lines. Text is in bolorgir, with alternate blue and gold capital letters, titles and first words in red, illuminated bird-letters up to f.188. Binding is stamped brown leather, with flap and brass studs on hind cover.

Scope and Content

An Armenian manuscript containing:. f.2v Preface. ff.3r-12v Introduction. ff.13r-280r Useless for the ignorant. ff.280v-281r Colophon. f.281v Recipe. There follows 2 old, erkatagir fragments cut from the Book of Matthew 9:8-18 and 10:12-25.
