Scope and Content

2 different subjects, both with slides. Woodland (47 slides in 2 small green slide boxes) looks at various typed of wood and areas of woodland - including Penny Spring Wood, Haigh Spring Wood, Farnley Tyas Wood, Lepton Woods, Jumble Wood, Wood Bank and Hagg Wood. At Pollards, Orchards and Coppice etc. Joseph Kaye, builder (25 slides in 1 small green slide box). He was responsible for building (amongst others) Thornton Lodge, Holy Trinity Church, Queen Street Wesley Chapel, the Riding School (Albion Street), Ramsden Street Chapel, St Paul's Church, St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Mill No1 and No 2 at Folly Hall, Christ Church (Linthwaite), Holy Trinity (South Crosland) St John's Church (Golcar) St Stephen's Churc (Lindley), All Saints Church (Paddock) and St John's Church (Birkby). Various hotels and public houses including The George Hotel, Mechanic's Arms (Castlegate), Unicorn and Bull & Mouth (Victoria Street) and Jacob's Well (Honley) as well as various houses.
