Scope and Content

2 different subjects, both with slides. Water (110 slides in 3 small green slide boxes) - Looks at the background of Huddersfield's water supply and the lie of the surrounding area. Early water supplies, springs and specific wells and troughs, the first waterworks constructed by Sir John Ramsden, water tanks, reservoirs through to the municiple supply of water. Yards of Huddersfield - middle of town (49 slides in 1 large grey slide tray) including Packhorse Yard, Rhodes Yard, Market Walk, Aspinall's Yard, Batty's Yard, Downing's Yard, Boot and Shoe Yard, Berry's Yard, Albert Yard, Hawksby's Yard, Lockwood's Yard, Greenwood's Yard, Imperial Yard and Union Bank Yard.
