Casing: leather with gold tooling. 4-stave MS paper. Paper differs from 442/39b and 442/39c: watermark includes the fleur-de-lis, but has a "D" and an arrow rather than "P T". In a single hand (which differs from vols 442/39b and 442/39c); but a later hand has copied f. 65v.
The contents are not identical with the other copy of the second treble, 442/39c: concordances are given in the individual entries for 442/39b, while the one additional air in 442/39d is noted below. In addition, there are some differences in rhythmic details and written-out ornamentation.
