Scope and Content

being a declaration by Robert Sainthill the elder of the city of London, Merchant that he advanced the sum of £2000 to Charles 1, that the late Arthur Duke, doctor of laws advanced a further £5000 to the king, and that the king in return granted the parks of Grafton and Pottersbury, co. Northampton to the late Arthur Duke and the late Sir George Stroud, Knight; and appointment by Robert Sainthill of Margaret, Elizabeth and Anne, daughters and co-heirs of the late Sir George Stroud to stand seised of his share of the parks in trust for his son Robert Sainthill the younger.
