The Board was a committee of Senate, established in 1990, to oversee links with overseas high education institutions, and the recruitment of international students and arrangements for them at the University. It was chaired by a pro-vicechancellor, and included representatives of the Faculties, two members of Senate and three members nominated by the Staff-Student Committee of Senate. The Board was no longer listed as a sessional committee in the 1996 Calendar.
