Correspondence between Margaret Nash and the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Concerning television broadcasts 'The Third Programme' and 'Designed for Women' in 1948 (TGA 7050/1914-22); 'Picture page', 1951 (TGA 7050/1923-25) and 'What Do You Make Of That?', 1954 (TGA 7050/1928). All the broadcasts featured Paul Nash's work. The letters discuss the choice of paintings, the loan and return of manuscripts, photographs and payment for travel expenses. 'The Third Programme' was broadcast to coincide with the Tate Memorial Exhibition of Paul Nash. Margaret recommended readings were included on the broadcast from Paul's autobiographical manuscripts (later published as 'Outline', Faber and Faber, 1949), by a "very old friend" of Paul, Anthony Bertram (TGA 7050/1916). Other Nash works mentioned are reproductions of 'Stone Personage', 'Monster Field, Study 1' and 'Totems' (TGA 7050/1925-26); and the painting 'Monster Field' (TGA 7050/1927-28).
