Seventeen letters from Philip James, Director of Art, Council for the Encouragement of Music and the Arts, and one from Joan Rodgers, Art Assistant C.E.M.A., and one from Joan Booth, C.E.M.A.

The letters largely concern the C.E.M.A. lithograph scheme where certain artists were invited to produce lithographs for reproduction and display in hostels and factories, particulary technical details, design of 'frame', size of the lithograph and payment. (Paul Nash produced 'Landscape of the Vernal Equinox', see TGA 7050/399a). The letters also refer to general framing and mounting enquiries, Paul Nash exhibition for the S.E.A. conference at the Ashmolean, Oxford, Paul Nash's health and 'November Moon', 'Kinetic Feature', and 'Sun and Sunflower'. TGA 7050/381 includes pencilled notes on the reverse in Nash's hand.
